KEEPING AN EYE ON WHAT’S NEXT IN THE EVENTS INDUSTRY

The Lookout is a weekly newsletter covering the latest news when it comes to online, virtual, digital, or hybrid events and the experience economy.

Each Friday, you’ll get a special take on the week’s learnings, articles, opinions, and insights direct to your inbox.

The Lookout newsletter aims to be a valuable resource for event professionals and organizers, as well as anyone looking to get a closer look at what’s coming next for this rapidly changing industry.

We aim to share the real insider’s perspective on the future of the industry, as well as our best practices, top tips, and developments to stay ahead of the pack. Given PIRATEx’s focus on utilizing the latest technology and following the market trends on eventtech, we give a special feature to this each week.

Felix Josephi, MD & CEO at PIRATEx

Hi, I’m Felix! I’ve been in the event business for the past 10 years. In that time I’ve seen many changes, but nothing comes remotely close to what 2020 gave us. PIRATEx has its roots in the startup ecosystem, where we’ve learned to act fast and respond quickly, and continually learn from changes in the market. That’s why at the beginning of the worldwide lockdown we switched our business model from largely producing physical conferences to online events in less than 2 weeks. After producing over 100 online events (and counting!), I’m more convinced than ever that online, and hybrid events are here to stay.
