We had to implement the FeuerTrutz congress with digital trade fair as an online event at short notice. PIRATEx supported us with a lot of commitment, ideas and professionalism. Thus the event could be led to great success
Description & Goal
A 2-day congress including exhibitors on the subject of fire protection. In 2020, the congress was held completely digitally for the first time and consisted of three parallel streams. The Nürnberg Messe offered exhibitors additional speaker slots in a fourth parallel running stream, so the character of the fair was also appropriately accommodated.
The aim was to offer the fire protection community a possibility to exchange information as usual and to network exhibitors, companies and participants.
Furthermore, in the congress part of the FeuerTrutz 2020 Digital, attention was paid to disseminating as profound expert knowledge as possible, since this is the unique selling point of the FeuerTrutz Congress
A total of four parallel streaming signals were produced. One signal was produced in a studio built by us, which was constructed according to the CI colors of the FeuerTrutz. On the one hand, the speakers were broadcasted live into the stream, on the other hand, there were speakers who were switched live into the studio to communicate with the speakers on-site. Here the video signal from the studio was sent back to the speakers, who were connected via video call, and their video and audio signals were sent into the studio and into the stream.
For this purpose, there was an audio and a video control room.
The three other streams were structured in the same way, and each consisted of a control room that picked up the signals from the speakers’ video calls and streamed them. All streaming signals were embedded on the congress platform talque, where questions about the current program could also be asked through a Q&A integration.
Platform & Formats
The platform of choice was talque as it offers exhibitors and partners as well as participants an optimal networking and remote event opportunity. There were sessions that were held individually by the speakers, as well as question-and-answer sessions in which the respective moderators jointly asked the speakers questions about their keynotes or the entire block of topics.
Securing power, the stream, and the Internet is of paramount importance. Although nothing of the sort happened to us, a brief power outage before the event made us aware of the need for protection in these three areas.
